Homework and Learning Supervision Sessions
The new ‘day-boarding and boarding school class’ was set up in 2005 to meet the demands of modern educational theory. Pupils from years 6-9 have their lessons in classrooms that have been completely redesigned according to both technical and didactic needs. In such a setting modern teaching methods are possible for a class size of 15-18. Boarding school staff (qualified educationalists and secondary school teachers) and classroom teachers co-operate closely to teach the classes together. This ensures supervision both in the subject matter and from a pedagogical point of view, enabling staff to respond to specific individual needs. The afternoon Silentium gives pupils the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the themes taught and to put what they have learnt into practice. Parents are kept informed about their children’s development, but also about important events and schedules via a special internet website. A daily programme of sport and leisure activities serves as a balance to the academic. Learning and living together is simply good fun.
